If you never had your wisdom teeth removed as a teenager, you may experience some oral health issues as you get older. Some people experience pain and discomfort when a wisdom tooth has not erupted properly and infection sets in around them. In these cases, we may recommend wisdom teeth extractions.
Our highly trained doctors at Standley Shores Dental Group have extensive experience performing tooth extractions in house with minimal discomfort.
While we strive to keep as many of the natural teeth as possible, there are some situations where we need to perform extractions. We may recommend having the wisdom teeth removed for the following reasons:
We offer IV sedation in our office for more complex tooth removal cases. If you are having wisdom teeth removed from both the upper and lower quadrant, we typically work on one side of the mouth at a time so you can still eat and drink from the other side of the mouth as you heal. Our team will take care of the tooth extraction with minimal discomfort and provide clear post-operative instructions to ensure the gums heal as quickly as possible.
We perform everything in house so you will not need to worry about making a separate appointment with an oral surgeon or looking for another specialist.

Every dentist I went to I experienced pain. After awhile what seeps into your mind is "I'm tired of having pain" and people talk about "well, they have anxiety" — I didn't have anxiety; I had fear, all capital letters. I met Dr. Rachel Barone, and it just clicked. She told me about oral sedation, and it's one of those trust factors that you have to give it a try. That was two years ago and she was able to keep my upper teeth.See More Reviews
